First remove the 4 screws then i usually slip my pocket knife in between the case and the top card slot and tilt till it pops open and carfully pop the 2 sides it just snaps back togeather in fact before i made the case mods i was poping it open all the time to get the card out cus i wanted to change stuff. The devices internal card readers are not as fast as my card reader and the device offten poops out on large file transfers. Both card slots support up to 32GB cards i use one in each it simple with ubuntu a little disk manager + gparted. Also the problem with windows reading the fat32 partition has to do with the invalid uuid they formated it with mine was 0000-0003 simply deleting it and making a new partition fixs the uuid.

You can use windows disk manager or gparted to create a fat32 partition or you could flash the test bed version that has everything and just resize the fat32 disk to size.
