Hi,So I was recently suffering from this problem:followed the solution, and created a new user account. However, I now have the issue that when I open the store, I get the error message: 'There's a problem with Store. Contact you system administrator about repairing or reinstalling it.'
Upon attempting to run the command 'add -appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register $env:systemroot/winstore/appxmanifest.xml' I get the error 'cannot find path 'c:/windows/winstore/appxmanifest.xml' because it does not exist.' And I've checked, it's not there. And when I ran DISM, it said there was a problem, but when I tried to repair it, it said it couldn't find the source files. So what can I do now?The weird part is that the store app actually still starts on the other user account that I had to abandon because of the original problem.Thanks. If new user account works, refer steps on how to copy files to the new user profile.Copy old files to new profile:a. Navigate to C:UsersCorruptedProfileName. The profile name will be the corrupted profile name.b.
Copy all the files.c. Open Control panel and Folder View options uncheck Hide protected operating system files.d. Navigate to C:UsersCorruptedProfileName and copy Appdata folder.Note: Do not copy these three files. NtUser.dat, NtUser.ini, NtUser.log.e. Navigate to C:UsersNewProfileName.f. Paste all those files here.I hope this helps.Let us know the status of the issue so that we can assist you better.Thanks.

Do let us know if you need any further assistance, we will be glad to assist you. I finally gave up, because the Windows Store wasn't the only thing not working. So I reverted to Windows 7, fully intending to forget about Windows 10.Then I had second thoughts and installed Windows 10 again. Now the Store works just fine, but there are still other glitches—such as Google Chrome not opening on Startup even though I have it in the Startup folder. My mail client, which is also there, does open as directed.Windows 10 is still a work in progress, should not have been released yet.

I'm trying to fix this older Toshiba laptop, and it's giving me a hell of a struggle. The issueWhile in the control panel it shows a wifi adapter, it will not notice any networks. Running the diagnosis says that you need to turn on the wireless switch.
On this laptop there's a dedicated button for it and a function key. Hitting the function key does nothing, and the dedicated key will glow brightly for a few seconds before turning back off. In the Win10 Settings, there's a page for wifi with a switch. That swtich is stuck to off, trying to change it makes it go instantly back to off. This laptop can connect to the internet just fine over wired connection. What I've done so farI went into Device Manager and confirmed that the wireless card (Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 AGN) has an up to date driver. I then downloaded the intel driver update utility tool. The only update it had was 'Intel Chipset Device Software (INF UPdate Utility - EXE Only)'.
I downloads but fails to install, saying 'Unknown error'. Thankfully there's an option to view log files. Here they are in pastebinNear then end of two and three, error codes 1708, 1709, and 1725 are seen.
Googling those, they are apparently related to some non-critical part of the driver update. Maybe those other forums were saying the entire chipset update is not important? Can anyone point me in the right direction to fixing this laptop?Thank you.
