There is no actual legal meaning to the term abandonware - it's a creation of geeks to make themselves feel that it is OK to download old software while allowing them to say 'I would never pirate' in regards to more easily purchased or more modern games.Note that I don't care if people want to download the stuff or not - it it not my job to control what others do. I just feel an obligation to point out that it is still illegal, even with the geek-approved abandonware title applied.RagManXI hope it opens you mind to what abandonware is, like it did for me. They state that when Westwood was bought out by EA that EA made the older CnC games freeware. They released the original CnC iso's as freeware as well. Its still closed source and i would recomend Warzone 2100 as a fun FOSS alternitive with a Portable Apps Port on this fine site.
